6 years agoToronto Blue Jays infielder Yangervis Solarte slowed down a bit after tearing the cover off the ball for a while, but perhaps he’s working his way back into a hot streak. Solarte may have only finished 1-for-4 in a 7-2 loss to the New York Yankees on Tuesday, but his lone hit (a single) puts him on a three-game hitting streak that has also seen him crush a home run and a double. For the season, his slash line now sits at .257/.321/.473 with 12 home runs, 12 doubles, 30 runs scored and 36 RBI across 222 at-bats in 57 games played. He makes for a nice middle infield candidate in deeper leagues and will be usable in 12-teamers if his bat is truly waking up again.--John Smith
