Three-Game Hitting Streak For Michael Conforto

6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto tailed off again after seemingly finally getting things going near the end of June, but over the last few games he’s found some mild success. On Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays he didn’t have the best game, finishing 1-for-4 with three strikeouts, but the effort did extend his hitting streak to three games (with one double over that span). The problem is, Conforto also has five strikeouts over those three games, with 10 strikeouts over his last five outings. He’s obviously going to need to strike out far less and hit for more power -- he has one home run since June 17 -- before he can be considered for fantasy purposes again, but this small hitting streak is still nice to see.--John Smith
