Three Phillies Placed On COVID-19 IL Friday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin, catcher Andrew Knapp and utility player Luke Williams (COVID-19) were placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Friday after receiving positive tests, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com. Zolecki adds that these are breakout cases, as all three players are fully vaccinated. Eflin had just been activated from the 10-day injured list on Thursday and was scheduled to start Thursday night, but his knee acted up again forcing him to be scratched from the matchup. None of the three players currently affected by this outbreak have much value in fantasy currently, with Eflin being the best option as a potential streamer in deeper formats.
