6 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk started off a bit slow when he returned from the disabled list in early June, but he’s certainly turned things around in the weeks that followed. In an 8-5 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, Grichuk finished 1-for-4 with a home run. Grichuk is now on a four-game hitting streak, and in each of those games he’s either picked up an extra-base hit (which he’s done in three straight) or had a multi-hit outing. His slash line for the year now sits at .203/.281/.455 (.736 OPS) with eight home runs, 18 runs scored and 22 RBI. The slash line isn’t amazing, but it’s a far cry from the lowly depths it reached earlier this season. Grichuk should remain a decent source of power.--John Smith
