Tim Anderson Continues Elite Production To Begin 2020
4 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has proven so far this season that his emergence as a top-tier fantasy asset has been no fluke. Through his first 21 games, the majors’ batting average leader from last year has only improved to the tune of a .345 average and 1.031 OPS. Anderson has particularly demolished left-handed pitching with five home runs in his first 25 at-bats, which has led to an astonishing .600/.643/1.480 slash line that makes him a near must-roster option in DFS when facing southpaws. His Statcast metrics confirm that the White Sox leadoff hitter is in fact as dominant as his numbers attest, with his .433 wOBA ranking among the top-five percentile of all batters. He faces a Royals starting staff this weekend, including lefty Danny Duffy, that has allowed a 4.93 ERA thus far in 2020, making him a particular high-upside selection.
