7 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles placed third baseman Tim Beckham (groin) on the 10-day disabled list (retroactive to April 24) with a left groin strain on Wednesday. Infielder Jace Peterson was added to the 25-man roster in a corresponding move. After breaking out last season, Beckham was off to a rough start, hitting just .179 with a home run and four RBI in 84 at-bats. Perhaps he can get back on track when he returns to full health. In the meantime, Danny Valencia should mostly man the hot corner, but Peterson could also fill in. Valencia will offer owners in AL-only leagues a little bit of power but not much else.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
