2 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Tim Mayza (shoulder) has landed on the 15-day injured list with a dislocated right shoulder. The 30-year-old southpaw sustained the injury on Saturday during a collision at home plate. Mayza has been excellent for the Blue Jays this season, posting a 2.88 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 27:9 K/BB ratio with 11 holds over 34 1/3 innings (41 appearances). Right-handed pitcher Trent Thornton was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move and will slide into the Jays bullpen.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
