Tim Patrick Suffers Season-Ending ACL Injury
2 years agoAn MRI exam confirmed on Tuesday that Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL in training camp practice. It's the third straight year the Broncos have lost a star receiver to a season-ending ACL injury, joining Courtland Sutton in 2020 and KJ Hamler last year. Running back Damarea Crockett also went down in practice on Tuesday with an apparent knee injury, and the team fears it's also significant. With Patrick now out for all of 2020, Hamler, who was just activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Monday, will have a prime opportunity to serve as the No. 3 for quarterback Russell Wilson behind Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. Hamler, who could break out as a deep threat for Wilson, should start slowly rising up draft boards.
