Time For Darren Waller To Prove It In Week 1

5 years agoWith plenty of preseason hype surrounding Oakland Raiders tight end Darren Waller, it's time for him to show his skills when the team opens up the regular season on Monday Night Football. We saw flashes of his catching ability in a couple of exhibition contests in August, but it'll be interesting to see how well he can perform now that games matter. Waller's Week 1 matchup is somewhat favorable with the Broncos Defense giving up the sixth-most points to tight ends in 2018, although the game's 43-point over/under line is one of the fewest totals this week. He's not a recommended play for fantasy purposes this week until we see how his role shapes out in this offense. Managers should keep a watchful eye on Waller though, as he could become an intriguing part of this improving offense.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
