Titans Acquire Receiver Robert Woods
3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans acquired wide receiver Robert Woods from the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick, according to a source. The writing was on the wall for Woods to be traded when the Rams surprisingly signed Allen Robinson II in free agency. The 29-year-old played in only nine games in 2021 due to a torn ACL suffered in practice on Nov. 13, and he finished with 45 receptions, 556 yards and four touchdowns. Woods had 1,000-yard campaigns in 2018 and 2019 in LA and has scored 35 times in his nine NFL seasons. He'll be a big upgrade over the aging Julio Jones, who was released this week, and Woods will be attractive as a WR2/3 next to star wideout A.J. Brown in Tennessee.
