4 years agoWhile the trade isn't official yet as the teams finalize the compensation, Ian Rapport of the NFL Network reports that the Atlanta Falcons will be trading wide receiver Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans for a 2022 second-round pick. There could still be other pieces, but this is the main part of the deal. For Tennessee, the team's largest hole -- a No. 2 receiver to pair with A.J. Brown -- has been filled. The Titans offense is a little too run-heavy for this move to benefit Jones from a fantasy perspective, but he should be a solid WR2, with Brown losing a little of his appeal but still rating as a high-end WR2 with upside as well. Ryan Tannehill becomes even more appealing as a fantasy quarterback now as well. On the other side, Calvin Ridley was already poised to be the No. 1 receiver for Atlanta, but he now has that position on lock. Rookie tight end Kyle Pitts will play a major role as a rookie, while Russell Gage now has a ton of appeal as a WR3/4 play as he moves into a larger role. Huge shake up of the league here.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
