3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans exercised the fifth-year option for defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons on Wednesday, which will keep him under contract with the team through the 2023 season. Simmons was a first-round pick by the Titans in 2019 and is coming off his first Pro Bowl while recording a career-best 8.5 sacks in 2021. He also led the team with 58 QB pressures and was second with 12 tackles for loss. The 24-year-old pass-rusher also finished with 54 tackles (42 solo) and six passes defensed in his best NFL season over 17 regular season starts. Simmons will once again be a key part of Tennessee's defense in his fourth NFL season in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
