Titans Release Darrynton Evans
3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans released running back Darrynton Evans on Thursday. Evans, who was a third-round pick in 2020, played in just six games in the last two years due to injuries. The 23-year-old had only two carries for seven yards in one game in 2021 and rushed 14 times for 54 yards in five games his rookie season. Evans has four receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown in two NFL seasons. He finished last season on Injured Reserve with a knee injury. Evans will likely serve as running back wherever he winds up in free agency. Running backs D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard are also set to become free agents, so Tennessee's depth at the position behind Derrick Henry could look quite different in 2022.
