Tom Brady Officially Announces Retirement
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady officially announced his retirement in a statement on Tuesday. "This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention." Brady initially denied reports about his retirement over the weekend, but it seemed like only a matter of time before he'd officially step away after 22 incredible seasons in the league in which he set the record for passing yards (84,520) and touchdowns (624) while winning seven Super Bowl titles. The GOAT will head off into the sunset after leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns in his final season at the age of 44.
