Tom Brady Week 1 Outlook For Fantasy Football
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement in early February. He reversed his decision 40 days later and decided to return for another season. The 45-year-old continues to defy father time and threw for 5,316 yards and a 43:12 TD: INT ratio while rushing for two scores over 17 games in 2021. The Buccaneers lost tight end Rob Gronkowski (retirement) but added wide receiver Julio Jones and tight end Kyle Rudolph. Bruce Arians is no longer the head coach, but expect new HC Todd Bowles and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich to use the same. Brady and the Buccaneers face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, which is projected to be a high-scoring affair with an over/under of 50.5. Brady will need to throw often (led the league in pass attempts in 2021) if Tampa Bay wants to keep up with Dallas, making him a mid-range QB1 in Week 1.
