5 years agoDetroit Lions backup quarterback Tom Savage (head) banged his head hard on the turf in the preseason game Thursday against the New England Patriots, and he was unable to return to the game. The team has just starter Matthew Stafford and former San Jose State standout David Fales as healthy quarterbacks on the roster, so they'll bring a body in. Free-agent QBs Josh Johnson (Redskins) and Landry Jones (Steelers) are scheduled to work out for the team on Saturday.--Daniel Dobish
