6 years agoWhile the San Francisco 49ers aren't expected to add a veteran quarterback this week to back up C.J. Beathard, sources say that free-agent quarterback Tom Savage is the favorite to sign in San Francisco eventually. Savage played in eight games with the Texans last year after Deshaun Watson's injury and was 125-for-223 (56.1 completion percentage) for 1,412 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions. He's not very good and won't be much of a threat to take the starting job from Beathard for the rest of the season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
