3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that second baseman Tommy Edman will slide over to shortstop to make room for prospect Nolan Gorman, who will be called up from the minors before Friday's game. Brendan Donovan has earned at-bats by going 10-for-34 with a homer, five RBI and a steal in just 19 games, but it could be more difficult for the Cards to get him regular at-bats now. He could split time in left field with rookie Juan Yepez. Edman has started at second in 35 of 37 games for St. Louis, and he is having a nice season with a .269/.367/.431 slash line with four home runs, 18 RBI, 25 runs scored and a league-leading nine stolen bases so far while also moving to the leadoff spot. His fantasy stock is very high right now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
