4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Tommy Hunter pitched a clean ninth inning with two strikeouts to earn a save over the Blue Jays Saturday. Called on to protect a two-run lead, the veteran reliever needed just nine pitches to preserve the win for Philadelphia and pick up his first save since 2018. Brandon Workman and Hector Neris have each had their share of struggles in the closer role so Hunter could see some more chances in the last week of the season, but would only be a priority in fantasy baseball for those truly desperate for saves.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
