3 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Tommy La Stella (Achilles) will be a little bit behind in spring camp as he recovers from Achilles surgery, according to president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi. Overall, La Stella's recovery is going well, and he should have a shot to be ready by Opening Day on April 7. However, with the Giants playing it safe, it also wouldn't be a big surprise if he opened the year on the injured list. The 33-year-old veteran infielder hit .250/.308/.405 with seven home runs and 27 RBI in 242 plate appearances over 76 games for the Giants in his first season with the team last year. When healthy, he'll battle for at-bats at the keystone with Wilmer Flores. La Stella shouldn't be attractive in standard-sized mixed leagues in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
