3 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Tommy La Stella (Achilles) hit a grand slam in his seventh minor league rehab game with Triple-A Sacramento last Friday and went 2-for-2 as the designated hitter on Sunday, putting him in line to potentially return from the injured list this week. La Stella has been squaring the ball up in the minors, hitting .310 with two home runs and seven RBI since he began his rehab assignment on May 3. The 33-year-old had surgery on his right Achilles back in October of last year and has yet to make his 2022 debut because of setbacks this spring. Once he return, the veteran infielder will be a part-time player with modest pop off the bench for the Gigantes.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
