2 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Tommy La Stella (illness) will begin a rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Sacramento. He was placed on the COVID-19 injured list on July 8 and will ramp up his activity in the minors before returning to the big leagues. The 33-year-old is slashing .241/.281/.375 with two home runs, 11 RBI, and 13 runs scored across 35 games in 2022. Barring a setback, the veteran should return to action soon. Thairo Estrada and Wilmer Flores will continue to handle second base duties while La Stella is out.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
