Tommy Milone To Start Second Game Of Doubleheader
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Tommy Milone will start the second game of the club's doubleheader against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. Robbie Ray had originally been scheduled to start on Saturday but he has been pushed back to Sunday. He's made just one start this season since being activated from the injured list so this buys him an extra day of rest as he builds up his stamina. Milone has pitched well for the Jays in two relief appearances after opening the season on the taxi squad. The 34-year-old hurler has a 1.50 ERA with a K-BB of 8-2 in six innings of work. With a fastball that averages just 84 mph, he's likely better suited for long relief work and isn't a great fantasy option.
