Tommy Pham Smacks Second Homer
4 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Pham went back-to-back for his second long ball with first baseman Eric Hosmer in the first inning against Dodgers lefty Julio Urias. The 32-year-old continues to stagger after 20 games, slashing .219/.329/.315 with two homers, 17 runs-plus-RBI and five steals. Although his exit velocity is in the 91st percentile, Pham is hitting too many grounders and not barreling the ball. If fantasy teams have an alternative, Pham could be worth benching until he heats up.
