6 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Tony Barnette was placed on the disabled list with inflammation in his right shoulder. Barnette has been unavailable most of the season but has yet to give up a run in 2 2/3 innings of work against the Astros and the Angels. If he can get healthy soon, he's got a chance to carve out a significant role in the Rangers bullpen with Matt Bush struggling and Keone Kela bringing a lot of volatility to the back end. Barnette likely won't get save opportunities, but he might have value in holds leagues as the season wears on.--Sean Scampton
