Tony Gonsolin In 'Idle Mode'
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (shoulder), like his teammate Clayton Kershaw, is in "idle mode" waiting for the pain to subside, MLB.com reported, citing manager Dave Roberts. Gonsolin was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with right shoulder inflammation. The severity of the 27-year-old's injury is unknown, but the latest update indicates he could be in danger of missing more than 10 days. Gonsolin owns a 2.78 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and a 42:26 K: BB across 35 2/3 innings in 2021. Fantasy managers in deep-league formats can continue to stash him if they have the roster flexibility. Still, with the Dodgers acquiring Max Scherzer and Danny Duffy, it remains to be seen whether he returns to the rotation once activated.
