Tony Gonsolin Plays Catch Tuesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (forearm) played light catch Tuesday, per MLB.com's Juan Toribio. Manager Dave Roberts said that the Dodgers are optimistic that Gonsolin will have enough time to build up from right forearm soreness before the end of the season, but acknowledged that he has not progressed as quickly as initially hoped for. While this is good news for the Dodgers, it is not for fantasy managers, who may not get Gonsolin back in time for any of the fantasy playoffs. The 28-year-old has been fantastic this season, going 16-1 with a 2.10 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and 23.7% strikeout rate in 23 starts.
