3 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Tony Jones Jr. (ankle) is expected to miss three to four weeks with an ankle injury, which he suffered during Sunday's loss to the Giants. Jones operated as Alvin Kamara's primary backup through the first four weeks, as he accumulated 87 scrimmage yards on 23 touches, a mark that ranks him second among Saints backs. New Orleans worked out several halfbacks on Tuesday- including Lamar Miller, Duke Johnson, Brian Hill, Ito Smith, and Ryquell Armstead- and it wouldn't be surprising to see them bring in a veteran name as insurance behind Kamara. The absence of Jones could mean even more touches for Kamara, who has dominated the backfield opportunities in New Orleans.--Tim Capurso
