Tony Kemp Goes Hitless Again As Struggles Continue
3 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Tony Kemp went 0-for-4 on Wednesday against the Astros as he continues to struggle batting atop the batting order. Kemp has just two hits in his last 25 plate appearances and could drop in the batting order as a result of this cold streak. Kemp's time batting leadoff was likely coming to an end anyway as Mark Canha (hip) is expected to return after the All-Star break. Kemp boasts an elite walk rate, but does little else for fantasy purposes as he's got just four homers, four steals, and is batting a pedestrian .251. Kemp has one more game in Houston before some good matchups against the Rangers to wrap up the first half.
