4 years agoMoving to three wins in a row, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (24-5) went the full five rounds with Kelvin Gastelum and took the unanimous decision on Saturday. Dominating the stat sheet, Whittaker landed 150 significant strikes (169 total strikes) in 25 minutes of action. The Reaper also utilized the ground game, landing four of his seven takedown attempts, including 4:19 of control time. The No. 1 contender, Whittaker has all but secured his title opportunity against current champion Israel Adesanya.
