Torn Labrum Ends Nick Senzel's Season
5 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Senzel has a torn labrum in his right shoulder and will not play the rest of the season. Senzel had been dealing with soreness in his shoulder since making a diving catch on August 31 but attempted to play through the injury. The Reds have yet to release a timetable for Senzel's recovery but expect him to miss at least the beginning of the 2020 season, if not more. It is a tough break for the Reds, who view Senzel as one of the core pieces in their rebuild. Senzel hit .256 with 12 homers, 55 runs, 42 RBI, and 14 steals in his rookie campaign.
