Toronto Acquires Ross Stripling From Dodgers
4 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays cemented their indication to go for the postseason in 2020 by acquiring right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling from the Dodgers in the final moments of Monday’s Trade Deadline. Los Angeles had tried to deal Stripling to the Angels during the offseason before the deal was ultimately nixed; he has opened the year with a 5.61 ERA in his first seven starts, with his 12 home runs allowed serving as a Major League high. Pitching at Sahlen Field will likely not assist those numbers in decreasing, but the former All-Star had compiled a 3.51 ERA over the previous four seasons and should still retain some deep season-long appeal.
