6 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays have discussed promoting third base prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to the Triple-A level at some point within the next month. There’s no evidence this would strictly depend on the health of the incumbent at the hot corner and free-agent-to-be Josh Donaldson, but one would think the concepts are closely related. Guerrero continues to mash beyond all comprehension in Double-A, slashing .409/.461/.677 with 11 home runs, 44 runs scored, 54 RBI and three stolen bases across 229 plate appearances. It’s only a matter of time. He needs to be owned in all formats.--John Smith
