7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez had a rough go of things last time out against the Tampa Bay Rays, but on Friday he’ll look to remedy that in a difficult matchup against the Boston Red Sox. Sanchez had thrown four consecutive quality starts prior to his last two outings, and the downward spiral is certainly a cause for concern. However, the last of those quality starts came against these very same Red Sox when Sanchez only allowed two earned runs over six innings pitched while striking out eight. If Sanchez continues to struggle Friday, it won’t be the end of the world given the matchup, but a third straight letdown may be a sign of more bad things to come.--John Smith
