Trade For Shohei Ohtani Unlikely
2 years agoTeams are calling regarding a potential trade for Los Angeles Angels two-way star Shohei Ohtani, and while a trade is seen as very unlikely, the Angels are for perhaps the first time not hanging up the phone. The Angels are listening on everyone following their recent collapse, but it doesn't mean Ohtani or outfielder Mike Trout, who has a no-trade clause, will be moved. A trade involving Ohtani might be only slightly more likely than Trout. The Angels' most likely trade pieces this summer are starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard, closer Raisel Iglesias and relievers Ryan Tepera and Aaron Loup. Sources say that it would take something eye-popping for the Angels to even seriously consider trading Ohtani, last year's American League MVP.
