Trade Rumors Around Jose Berrios Gaining Steam

3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios is beginning to look more likely that he will be traded prior to the deadline, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Rosenthal reports that the market has exceeded Minnesota's expectations, and that the Padres, Blue Jays, Dodgers, Rays and Yankees have all expressed varying levels of interest in the 27-year-old right hander. Over 20 starts for Minnesota this year, Berrios has gone 7-5 with a 3.48 ERA, 1.044 WHIP and 25.7 percent strikeout rate across 121 2/3 innings of work.
