Travis Etienne Jr. Expected To Get 10-12 Touches In Week 1
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Travis Etienne Jr. is expected to begin the season touching the ball around 10-12 times per game, according to SI's John Shipley. Shipley also added that "Etienne has had a terrific training camp and has been incredibly efficient as a receiver, but the Jaguars have a lot of different players to get the ball to, which is far from being a bad thing." Etienne is now being drafted in the fifth round of PPR drafts, so he will likely need to garner more touches as the season progresses to pay off in most leagues. Rookie running backs do typically see their touches increase as the season goes on, so Etienne still makes for an intriguing RB2 selection mostly due to his elite passing-game upside.
