Travis Jankowski Scores Two Runs In Win Over Nationals
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Travis Jankowski went 1-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored in a win at Washington on Wednesday. The 30-year-old outfielder has been money for the Phillies in his short time with the team and was rewarded by getting a promotion in the batting order. Jankowski batted first or second in three of his last four games and reached base at least twice in all three games. He's got strong plate discipline as evidenced by his 17.8% strikeout rate and 11.8% walk rate. That's translated to a .379 on-base percentage and 18 runs scored in 42 games. With Andrew McCutchen (knee) on the IL, there's room for Jankowski to keep batting above Bryce Harper and J.T. Realmuto in a good Phillies lineup. He's got fantasy appeal in 12-team leagues and larger for those in need of an outfielder.
