7 years agoKansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is looking forward to playing with quarterback Patrick Mahomes in 2018 after the team traded Alex Smith to the Redskins this week. "Yeah, without a doubt. I feel like Patty Cakes can come in and roll the dice on anybody," Kelce told NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano and Brian Billick on Wednesday's Super Bowl Live. "He can throw the ball any way, he can throw it off his back foot and he can jump and throw, he can throw the ball anywhere, anyway you need for it to be thrown. His confidence is definitely one of the best attributes to his game." Mahomes made one start in a meaningless Week 17 game against the Broncos but was impressive, throwing for 284 yards. He has incredibly high upside with a strong arm and the ability to extend plays with his legs, but he'll undoubtedly be inconsistent in his first year as the unquestioned starter in KC. Mahomes could have QB1 weeks in 2018, but they'll be hard to predict. He'll be better off as a dynasty league asset for at least another season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
