6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Travis Shaw (wrist) has been activated off the injured list and rookie second baseman Keston Hiura has been sent down to Triple-A San Antonio. With how atrocious Shaw has been so far this year, this is a somewhat surprising move sure to have fantasy owners and Brewers fans alike up in arms. Other than some strikeout issues, the 22-year-old was acclimating very well to big league pitching, slashing .281/.333/.531 with five home runs, eight runs and nine RBI through his first 17 games. Hiura happens to have only four less hits than Shaw in 85 fewer plate appearances and could very likely return if Shaw can't get over his early-season struggles.--Joseph Magazzinich
