6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers lefty sluggers Travis Shaw and Eric Thames combined to go 4-for-9 and racked up three runs and five RBI in their squad's 11-3 beating of St. Louis. The two top-of-the-order bats teed off on Carlos Martinez on Thursday and ended his day after a mere four innings pitched. The Brewers have been taking advantage of their home park's favorable dimensions for left-handed hitters and have been crushing right-handed pitchers all season. In regards to OPS, Milwaukee has consistently been in the top 10 against righties all season, while they are currently third worst against southpaws.
