4 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Travis Shaw was removed from Tuesday’s contest against Boston, although it was not readily apparent as to why he departed. Joe Panik entered the game in his stead, with Brandon Drury shifting over to the hot corner. After popping out in his only plate appearance Tuesday, Shaw dropped his slash line on the season to .216/.284/.351, particularly having slumped over his past seven games. Though a staple of the club’s lineup, Shaw can likely be avoided in most season-long formats, especially if he is dealing with any kind of injury which may keep him out of the mix.--Jesse Borek
