4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw (leg) was removed as a precaution on Thursday after being hit by a pitch, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. According to manager Craig Counsell, Shaw had a bruise after being hit by a pitch in his first plate appearance, and after it showed signs of swelling they removed him later in the game. Counsell added that there are no worries about Shaw going forward from this. Coming off a career-worst season in 2019, Shaw showed signs of improvement in 2020 by slashing .239/.306/.411 with six home runs in 50 games. He has shown he can hit for 30 home runs in the past, and after improving last season, Shaw could be worth a look in deep-mixed or NL-only leagues as a corner infield option.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
