5 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner went 3-for-6 with his first triple and eighth stolen base of the season in the team's 14-4 demolition of the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. Turner scored two of the runs and raised his season line to .288/.333/.466 through just 17 games. He's set quite a stolen base pace and is one of the few players in MLB for whom such a rate could potentially be sustainable. It's still a very young campaign for Turner due to the broken finger he suffered back in April, but he should be a top shortstop going forward thanks to those steals.--Nathaniel Green
