Trea Turner Has Broken Finger
6 years agoX-rays on Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner, who exited Tuesday's game after having his right index finger hit by a Zach Eflin pitch, came back positive on Tuesday night as Nationals manager Davey Martinez announced that Turner had broken the finger. This news is devastating for both the Nationals and Turner's fantasy shareholders as the first-round shortstop is likely to miss significant time. Wilmer Difo will take over at shortstop as Turner recovers, unless the Nationals do something drastic like call up prospect Carter Kieboom. Difo, a career .250/.310/.358 hitter, is not a worthwhile pickup target.
