3 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Trent Grisham has previously been a fixture at the top of the team's lineup. Prior to Monday, the outfielder had hit first, second or third in all but one game he started. However, in the past week, San Diego manager Jayce Tingler has opted to utilize Tommy Pham as the team's leadoff hitter with Fernando Tatis Jr., Jake Cronenworth and Manny Machado hitting after the left fielder in that order. The move has resulted in Grisham batting sixth twice and seventh three times in the last week. Ideally, fantasy managers would want the outfielder atop the lineup, getting more plate appearances and hitting in front of batters like Tatis and Machado. Still, the move further down the lineup hasn't exactly hurt Grisham's ability to get on base. The 24-year-old is 3-for-19 with four walks, two doubles and a pair of RBI over the past week. Fewer plate appearances aren't ideal, but Grisham should remain one of fantasy baseball's better outfield options hitting in a strong San Diego lineup. On the season, Grisham is hitting .265 with a .353 on-base percentage, eight home runs and seven stolen bases in 207 plate appearances.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
