Trent Grisham Lands On Injured List

3 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Trent Grisham (heel) is expected to land on the injured list before Monday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Friars center fielder missed the final two contests over the weekend with a heel bruise and it's lingered long enough to merit an IL stint. Utilityman Jurickson Profar will start in center and outfielder Brian O'Grady will replace Grisham on the roster. Grisham has enjoyed a strong season, slashing .301/.383/.515 with six homers, seven steals and 37 runs-plus-RBI in 154 plate appearances but also missed time earlier this year with a hamstring injury.
