3 years agoFormer San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Trent Sherfield has agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, according to a source. He will reunite with head coach Mike McDaniel and receivers coach Wes Welker in Miami. Sherfield spent the 2021 season with the San Francisco 49ers, catching just nine of 20 targets for 87 yards and one touchdown in 17 games (one start). In three seasons prior with the Arizona Cardinals, Sherfield combined for 28 catches, 340 yards and one touchdown on 48 targets over 44 games (four starts). It's unlikely that he suddenly becomes a major weapon for the Dolphins.
