Trent Thornton Departs Sunday’s Start Early With Apparent Injury
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Trent Thornton was only expected to work two or three innings Sunday against Tampa Bay, but he ultimately went just one and was seen grabbing his right forearm after departing. The Blue Jays’ starting rotation has been hit hard by injuries with Matt Shoemaker (shoulder) and Nate Pearson (elbow) already on the IL. Thornton holds little season-long fantasy intrigue at this stage (11.12 ERA), but check back for an update on his status as his absence would pave the way for other Toronto arms.
