5 years agoToronto rookie Trent Thornton bounced back on Sunday versus the Yankees, after being lit up for six runs by Tampa Bay in his last time out. Outdueled by the dealing Masahiro Tanaka, Thornton took the loss despite only allowing a single run in the fifth inning on a ground-rule double by Brett Gardner. Thornton allowed only three hits over six innings, striking out six while walking only one.
